owlets
owlets is a store devoted to children, from infants to
teens. We have everything from books to arts-and-crafts to science
kits to games to toys to puzzles. Our knowledgeable staff will be
happy to help you find the perfect birthday or holiday gift for any age.
owlets Book Clubs
Owl's Nest Books and owlets are pleased to offer, free of charge, three
book clubs for our owlets customers. The clubs are hosted by Cynthia
Asquin-Richards. Cynthia has an extensive background in children's
literature including ten years as a professional storyteller.
The clubs work just like their adult counterparts: the
kids read their book and come prepared to discuss anything and everything
that relates to the book. We strongly encourage parents to head across
the street to Starbucks for a quiet hour while the kids enjoy their time
with Cynthia.
Although pre-registration is not necessary, registered
members will receive reminder emails in the week before their meeting as
well as a special birthday gift. Please call the store at 403-287-9557

register.
Both advanced and struggling readers are welcome and will
be placed in the club where they are most comfortable.
Clubs include:
- Junior Owlets (Grades 3 through 6)
- Senior Owlets (Grades 6 through 9)
- Fledglings (Grades 9 and up)
The first books for the 2010-2011 season are already
listed on our
book clubs page.
Further selections for the year will be presented to the
members of each club at the September meeting. Suggestions from
